USA has become a threat to the world - pushing us closer and closer to WW3

Hi

Trump was elected, he hasn’t been good for the USA, he is overruling the normal democratic systems put into place to protect from autocrats.

We have no room to talk, we have Starmer, who we voted into place.

Yesterday Trump seized a Russian Tanker in the North Atlantic, not allowed under International law and is sailing it to the USA,

Russia is fuming, but having to be careful about retaliation.

Starmer, without any Parliamentary Authority helped the USA do this, using British Ships, aircraft and Service Personnel.

We even refueled the USA Ship involved at sea,

The Russians are not at all afraid about retaliating against the UK.

We are no longer a World Power, we need to acknowledge that and control Starmer.

The tanker was unflagged Swimmy…It wasn’t a Russian Tanker or you could be sure that Putin would have retaliated. Did you see the condition of the tanker?
It looked like it had been scrapped years ago, full of rust and probably a danger to the environment. Venezuela were using it to break the boycott and take oil to Russia.
Whoever took this out of the water deserves a medal…

Possibly Foxy, I guess. I’ve watched the available clips and it’s painting a different picture, in that she panicked due to one officer shouting at her, the reversed to give herself some room to turn right past a second officer who was clipped and decided to shoot her.

The BBC don’t like the production of the Tik Tok clip Dex and smell a rat… :009:
Ha! The BBC for Gods sake…They should know all about putting together dodgy news clips.

Thank God, one should think, Bob. They are almost the only ones left who’re not bending over backwards to support him. Trump certainly doesn’t need to be loved, does he? When not in power, he used to summon the opposition which he hates now that he is in office. Not very consistent.

Sorry Dachs, but I think he is doing a good job.
The condition of the governments in both America and the UK were/are abysmal, and they both need an unconventional president and PM to make some unpleasant decisions.
America have succeeded with Trump, I hope the people who voted for him in the last elections will stick by him and continue with their support.
As for the UK, we need to oust Starmer and his labour party, especially the fool Miliband who is obsessed with climate change and net zero. Both of which we can do nothing about except cripple and bankrupt this country.
Propping up wars and sending aid to countries that are in a better condition than us. The EU is failing fast with protests going on in Poland, Holland and Hungary and Starmer wants to climb aboard some driftwood that is Brussels and take us down with the ship.
He is already the most unpopular PM and cabinet ever, and hasn’t got a clue what to do next with their constant u turns and negligent use of taxpayers money.

Oh Foxy … you surprise me, you really do. How on earth can you support Trump.
The guy is a unscrupulous businessman through and through, hardly the right qualities for a world leader.
He’s treating Venuzuela as if it’s a hostile boardroom takeover, aggressively removing the current CEO, all backed by his own private army, the US military.

Don’t forget, during Covid this is the idiot who told everyone to inject bleach, or was it drink it?

With all due respect Morty, I think you watch too much news…
When I see Trump speak on telly I want to slap him, but when I see what he wants to do he really makes sense to me.
The media were always going to beat down such an outspoken President, it’s the same with Nigel Farage. There are some very powerful people out there who control everything you see and hear and certainly don’t want people to upend their gravy trains and show them for the people they really are. You and me wouldn’t believe the lengths these people will go to make you think in a particular way…Or not think at all.
It’s not just Trump is it…Don’t you think that he is being advised by some of the most brainy people in the world?
They know more of what is going on in the world that you or I will ever know, and if we did, we might realise that what Trump is doing is the right approach to the corruption and sh$t that happens in very high places in both America and here.

This shooting of a US citizen will certainly raise tensions within the US. Even without examining the rights / wrongs of the ICE shooting to kill this event looks likely to create the mood for disturbances.
This is exactly what Trump has wanted from his deployment of troops and ICE agents to predominantly democrat cities. He wants there to be civil unrest and protests and riots. Such events will prove his claims and give him justification to put in martial law across the US.
I have two observations on this very likely outcome. It is very difficult to remove a totalitarian regime from within. If Trump does double down on internal controls, removal of freedoms within the US and imposes a police/military state then nobody can remove this regime. It allows him to suspend elections and continue in power. Which is what he really wants.
The second observation is that this was planned and predicted way back … by Osama bin Laden. His stated goal from the 9//11 atrocity was to cripple the US economy from their inevitable over-spend on military in the unwinnable war against terrorism and to create a state of fear in the US that would lead to the removal of civil rights there. Bush put the US on track to deliver on the first goal, and now Trump is delivering on the second goal.

Hi

After many years of agreement time for us to disagree.

A very sad day, but it is important.

You are wrong about the Tanker, it was reflagged , under International Law, as being Russian in December last year.

Perfectly legally.

What Trump has done was an act of Piracy, the sort of thing he has killed for against Yeminy Pirates in the Middle East.

Putin is not going to retaliate against the USA militarily, that would be stupid.

They can better their position much more to their advantage by pointing out that Trump does not comply with International Law and could do the same to them.

What Russia can do however is make an example of the UK to deter any other support of the USA.

No need for bombs, shooting down planes, sinking ships, just simply attacking our electronic Infrastructure.

Simple, very easy but problematic thing’s, like cashpoint problems, NHS problems, internet failures.

We have no defence against these, we have ignored them and not put the time, effort and money into protecting them.

Starmer is a real problem for us.

This speculation is not just without basis, it also is not relevant. Suspicion of something (and there was no indication that anyone was suspicious of such issues) is not a justification for the use of lethal force. To allow a shoot to kill approach for merely worrying about vague possibilities is to give these agents permission to do anything, to anyone, at any time with no need to justify it. Your thinking is all wrong here.

Let’s try putting it another way then.
It seems to me the world is reverting to ‘Jungle Law’ …survival of the fittest … Might is Right.
Possibly I’m wrong but individuals are protected by the Laws of the land they reside in. Countries protect themselves , and each other, by forming organisations such as NATO or the UN to protect all countries by binding everyone to a mutual agreement .

All this ensures peace and stability until someone sees themselves as above the Law or common consensus and breaks the Law.
Thus we have terrorists who intimidate by creating fear …
And a larger, more powerful country does the same by assuming control by ‘Might is Right’ purely because it has the most powerful army and can swamp a smaller country.
I’m just simply not a fan of this slippery slope into the precarious world of Jungle Law.
The reason Trump will get away with it is simply because all the other countries know they cannot best America and dare not take it on.

And :face_with_hand_over_mouth: .of course I watch too much news. I admit it! How else do I know about Venezuela.

Going slightly off-topic onto Greenland … this is novel.

Jan 8 (Reuters) - U.S. officials have discussed sending lump sum payments to Greenlanders as part of a bid to convince them to secede from Denmark and potentially join the United States, according to four sources familiar with the matter.

While the exact dollar figure and logistics of any payment are unclear, U.S. officials, including White House aides, have discussed figures ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 per person, said two of the sources, who requested anonymity to discuss internal deliberations.

Not sure what was at that BBC link as the page has moved on but they used the same video Bob!!

I think it’s very far-fetched (and disingenuous) to suggest she might have had a bomb or weapons in her car - there were two women and a dog in the car and she was clearly trying to get away, not run anyone over. The New York Times spell it out step by step in this video very clearly:

Glad more and more people in America are waking up:

Psychologist in this interview with Times Radio says we should be VERY worried “The world is in a lot of trouble, Trump is both evil and demented”:

Completely agree with this guy:

(No offence OGF )
