He’s making it very difficult for some of us.But you can’t judge a country on it’s politicians.eg: UK and Australia.

As I mentioned earlier, its precursor was US Space Command, which was in existence before Trump was a twinkle in his mother’s eye…
…well, at least before he became President.

It all sounds very Thunderbirds.

It’s all a waste of time.As soon as the other inhabitants of the universe discover we have broken out, they’ll come with their insecticide.

You called Sir, we are here !! :-):-)

Not puppets, but US Navy pilots (Blue Angels):

and their planes:

:cool2:

Trump wanted his space warriors to wear invisible suits so that the enemy couldn’t see them coming. When he found out that that was not an option, he threw a tantrum and said, “Well then let them just wear Army uniforms.”

What the world should be mocking is Trump, the draft dodger, openly wanting to weaponize space.

US Space Force logo looks like one from Star Trek

The newly unveiled logo for US President Donald Trump’s Space Force appears to have boldly gone where Star Trek went before.

Twitter users noted that the emblem, revealed by the president, bears an uncanny likeness to the insignia from the cult sci-fi TV series.

But others online insisted the logo was really based on the US Air Force one.

Unveiling the insignia on Friday, Mr Trump tweeted: “After consultation with our Great Military Leaders, designers, and others, I am pleased to present the new logo for the United States Space Force, the Sixth Branch of our Magnificent Military!”

It’s not really a close copy but, along with camouflage uniforms, the result is hilarious ……

I don’t see what is so funny. What people are forgetting is that the U.S. space force personnel are working on the ground. They merely happen to have the same uniform as their fellow airmen who are not in the space force. Simple a case of saving money by not having entirely new uniforms.

I’m with you Bakerman… Good camouflage is not funny.
Once they terraforma Mars and land some pilgrims on it they’ll blend in fine.

And that’s not as silly as it sounds …
Didn’t those poor souls in Space 1999 wear grey onesies to blend in with the lunar landscape ? … Though I’m not sure about the coloured arm sleeves …red, yellow, brown.

UFO’s Gabrielle Drake’s uniforms were “interesting”:

Standard work-a-day U.S. Air Force uniforms

Apparently the badge is an updated version of the one they had before…

I did attempt to explain that earlier in the thread, actually.

The Air Force Space Command, now the United States Space Force, was formed in 1982 and had this badge:

which still bears a passing resemblance to the Starfleet Command Badge (and Star Trek, IIRC, was first broadcast in 1966):

:104:

The US insignia isn’t patch on the Australian Research and Space Exploration unit they have the best badge by far.

They even do stubby holders

This space stuff is a serious business.

:023:

Yes, USAF Space Command has been around since I was 30 though, admittedly, the new insignia does resemble what Captain Picard and his crew seem to wear!

However, I prefer the ARSE equivalent. Much more subtle.
