Always pays to get a service report to see what they have done, such as check gearbox oil often left out as are other parts that should be checked as in wheel alignment -type tread depth -suspension ball joints -exhaust gases-all electric such as lights. Brake lights so often get missed on a “Quick” service.
Seems to me that these days they are more interested in cleaning a car inside and out than servicing parts that should be checked instead
Do they check for example if your car was subject to a
manufactures recall to correct a faulty part? no they don’t
google car recall (your make)
Your car may have a recall made after having bought used and the manufacturers have no trace of it any more as to who is the new owner
