The recent heavy rains have claimed more victims. The bodies of a father and son have been recovered after a police operation.
Police confirmed a family of five, who were tourists from the UK, were bushwalking at Wentworth Falls when four of them were crushed by falling rocks.
This is so sad ,this poor family went to Australia for a holiday and what tragedy awaited them . The surviving daughter walked out to meet rescuers and then back in with them poor girl I hope her mother and surviving brother make it.We went to the blue mountains years some years ago .When I was in Australia a month ago most of the walking trails in Lamington National Park also a mountainous area were shut because off the heavy rain fall . There were numerous slips and they are still ongoing .
Good grief - what a tragedy.
Oh that is so tragic, that poor girl. I so hope her mother and brother get through this, unbearable to think she could be left alone following what should have been a lovely holiday filled with happy memories.
