Trump seems to keep trying to keep up the “shock value” of his outrageous statements to keep him in the news.
I think he twigged long ago that the more he is criticised by the mainstream media, the more his extremist fan club and right wing fringe elements steam in to support him, so he keeps upping the ante on the extreme rubbish he spouts to try to keep his fan club stirred up.
His tactics no longer shock me - they are as old and stale and pathetic as he is.

2 of Trump’s organizations were convicted of tax fraud and his last candidate for Senate lost his run off race.
Despite that, no one is willing to count Trump out for fear that 2016 will happen again.
