Troublesome software

That’s a blast from the past. Brought back some memories. :grinning:

Well it worked well enough back in the day.
I also have several documents I did at school when we had some Interactive Whiteboard software. The files are listed as ‘Notebook’ documents. Needless to say, I can’t open them now!

The first few runs can be hair-raising … :scream:

Thereafter, on a new PC, cleanups take only minutes, sometimes only seconds … :relieved:

Check your settings for optimum performance … :024:

The differences are minimal:

but the company, Goversoft, is small and donations are welcome - the upgrade comes in return … :white_check_mark:

If you like the product, you can pay a few pounds every now and then … :slightly_smiling_face:

Yes, impressive.
‘Check your settings’ - that’s the thing, though. I didn’t enable ALL the options because I was too scared! Even one or two of those they recommended, because I didn’t honestly know what they meant!
I may experiment further the next time I run it.

Yes, although the differences with the ‘Donor’ version are minimal I think I’ll contribute a little as it seems a useful bit of software.

You’re right to take your time and learn a little about the software’s characteristics … :white_check_mark:

I’m evaluating another cleaner at the moment - if I run it after a day on the PC, it finds 2,500 unwanted “tracks” and 600MB of unwanted “data” - on its’ first run the numbers were 6,000 and 2GB - and that’s on a new PC … :exclamation:

I’ve tweaked it since but it’s still not a tool for the casual user … :009:
