The railway carriage rested on twin hulls which had bloody
great diesels in em! And it was equipped with deep freezes and
showers and fridges etc, some of them stocked with beer !!
I never ever slept in the cabin but the crew used to make me
bed on the deck, where l could hear the crocs and hippos etc
at night, and sometimes lions roared too !!

@Minx , Oh, me mate went fishing in one of the little boats
one day, and was sitting in some reeds fishing for tiger fish
when a bloody great hippo surfaced right alongside and
opened its mouth!! He didn’t bother with the engine, he just got
the paddles into the rowlocks and came back like a windmill !!
What a bloody larf.
