Tory Conference

it’s the Tories turn to big themselves up and avoid answering perfectly legitimate questions.
Contrary to Boris Johnson recent mantra wages are not actually rising because of government policies as it seems the way this is calculated is very complex according to a Tory MP John Glen on Politics Live.

I am waiting to be told how lucky we all are.

Sounds more like New Labour from 1997 to me.

At least there weren’t any death-threats to Labour MPs at their conference, like there are at the Conservatives one. Hang the Tories banners with MPs hung in effigy, threatening banners strung across motorway bridges etc.

The caring left?

If Sunak was giving his speech to the backdrop of “Things Can Only Get Better” you would never know the difference between that and 1997

Corporation tax … up
National insurance … up

NHS reforms … nope
Bin HS2 … nope

Utter useless Blue Labour, I’ll NEVER vote for these again.

Hi

Tax is up simply because we have to pay for Covid, it will be a temporary thing.

Rishi knows his stuff.

What worries me is not scrapping HS2 and the huge costs of going green on vehicles, with no guarantee that this would work.

30K for a new boiler too, Swimmy.

Last time corporation tax was lowered, tax revenues went up.

Hi

I am more bothered about closing the loophole Blair used to save himself £340,000 in Stamp Duty.

Heat pumps are cheap, the problem is they only work with underfloor heating, not radiators.

Your floors have to come up.

Why ?

Avoiding tax is normal - everyone does it.

In away we are. We could have been marching along with a Corbyn led government :astonished::unamused::-1:

It’s heading in that direction under Johnson. Steve Baker said today the conservatives are a socialist party.
