Without coherent leadership, guidance will be far too diffused for the knuckle scrapers amongst us to understand.
Therein lies the problem, which is easier to modify?
The trouble is with the knuckle scrapers, natural selection will always ensure they exist.
Yes, it is difficult, being dragged kicking and screaming into society.
No surprise there Spitty
That’s all very well but what is France actually doing that the UK is not? or vice versa?
A question of leadership is a given but what has France done that has kept their numbers down? What has the UK done that has made it so bad? It is a behavioral thing I would have thought but what is the difference?
Less buckets of sand in France, maybe.
Far less soap used too!

There will be another lock-down on it’s way soon. The masses are simply not acting responsibly enough and the rot started from the top. Whatever happed from the old tradition of lead by example?
Won’t be my fault!!!
They all say that …twasn’t me guv, honest
I know they do, good job I (and a few others) don’t, there would be chaos.
In my Local shop, it feels like just me and the Lone Ranger, not a Boris in sight.
My local sell-it-all Post Office is run by Asians and they have gone out of their way to help all of their regular customers. It’s a triple fronted shop and open from 7 'til 11 where if you want something not in stock, they will locate some and phone as soon as they have it. They’ve even started a home delivery service at no extra charge for over the phone card orders. I cannot fault them.
Nowt wrong with the Shops Service level, its just that even the owners, staff, customer base have all given up on masks (and distancing) that must be representative one would think.

Over 2000 of the new cases in Australia are in Victoria, Victoria has reached 80% adult vaccinations so is opening up even with such high figures. NSW new cases are starting to increase very slightly but there are fewer cases than the modeling predicted. Interesting times ahead.

To the question I asked earlier about why there is such a difference in case numbers between the UK and France it was perhaps answered earlier today on the radio in the Saturday current affair program which discussed the Covid situation in Europe.
The European correspondent said that the principle differences were the mask policy, in France masks are compulsory, in the UK Boris can’t even utter the word and France also has vaccination passports which are required to be shown, again, not required in the UK.
Those seemed reasonable reasons to me.
