Today is Pi day! What kind of pie will you have?

Pi is 3.14 (rounded off) and today is 3/14/2025, which makes it Pi Day! It’s a good excuse to eat pie!

I’m going to get my wife to pick up a pecan pie when she goes grocery shopping this morning.

It’s actually 14/3/2025.

Beef & Guinness please

I try not to constrain my pie eating to mathematical constants. I will have steak and ale pie (with gravy) anytime.

Here is a map of all the countries in the world that use Month Day Year format for dates

331964

It is remarkably similar to a world map of all the countries that use Imperial measurements (not quite the same)

We’re having two kinds of pie for dinner. First, pizza pie! And then pecan pie!

Is pizza still called “pizza pie” in the NE? It was when I was a kid in NY.

Is this a Pukka thread?

I like pecan nuts but the golden syrup in Pecan pie is too sweet for me.

For a dessert with a pastry base, I quite like a Yorkshire Curd Tart - the filling is butter, sugar, beaten egg, curds made from full fat milk and currants.

Oh, I remember Cornish pasties, delicious! I’m going to try and make them when I have a bit of time.
I used to love M&S chicken and mushroom pie, I made it once, wasn’t the same, though.
