The Tobacco and Vapes Bill, aimed at creating the first smoke-free generation, will be introduced to Parliament today.
The Bill will ban smoking by gradually increasing the age at which tobacco can be bought. Powers could be extended to some outdoor spaces such as children’s playgrounds, outside schools and hospitals.
Introducing ban on vapes marketed at children, which is one good thing.
I find vapes quite sinister. They are obviously targeted at the young and naive. Bright colourful packaging, and whimsical brand names.Reminds me of those Alcopops of a while back, which were also aimed at youngsters. Lets hope the bill succeeds.
Can’t seem to win around me, got weed heads both sides as neighbours, winter not too bad, but summer nightmare as like to have windows open, vapes should be banned in shops and put on prescription as my god daughter got caught doing it, which was a shock by us all, but she is a follower so at her school she follows so if her mates are doing it then she will but got the school and teachers on it fingers crossed just a phase
Peer pressure can be difficult, just be there and hopefully she will work it out for herself.
