Toad in the Hole in an Air Fryer

I made Toad in the Hole in my air fryer today, it wasn’t bad either.

I used a recipe for Yorkshire Pudding in the air fryer which I noticed had the same cooking time as sausages (came from Youtube but can’t find it again)

The batter:

35gm self raising flour
one egg
50ml milk
pinch of salt.

Mix that lot.

Preheat air fryer for five minutes with a small pizza pan and a little oil until the oil is near smoking. pour in batter, add punctured sausages.

12 minutes at 190°C (ish)

Perfect for one.

Looks impressive. Probably best to use sausages that don’t ooze lots of fat.

an extra egg you maybe get a fluffier riser yorkie… I use plain flour for Yorkies…

Had a long spell of failures for what ever reason as I never discovered the issue with them but flying saucers come to mind…

oh dear, loads of fat…

You’re not going to eat that cat I hope! Air fry it. OMG how could you!

When the Yorkshire pudding is cooked by itself that is exactly how it rises in the air fryer but the sausages seem to keep it flatter, which actually I don’t mind.

when cooking sausage toad I started cooking the two separate so as to get the Rise Up…

. but the flavour can be lacking, but tis a balance…
