Tips of the day

:star2: Tips of the Day :star2:

  1. Start your morning with a short walk, it clears the mind and lifts the mood.
  2. Keep a glass of water nearby and sip often to stay hydrated.
  3. Smile at someone today, it costs nothing but can brighten both your day and theirs.
  4. Tidy one small space, like a drawer or shelf, little wins add up to big peace of mind.
  5. Write down one thing you’re grateful for, it’s a simple way to boost happiness.

1: Easy as, I walk about 5ks every morning except when it is raining.

2: Never touch the stuff, fish do appalling things in it.

3: I greet everyone I meet on my walk with a “G’day”, does that count?

4: No, sorry, I like clutter and take comfort in the fact that when I die my kids will have to sort it out.

5: No thanks, I write enough down with out adding more to it.

Two out of three isn’t bad is it? :icon_wink:

Haha

Two out of three is definitely not bad at all! Walking 5ks most mornings and greeting everyone with a “G’day” already ticks off two great tips. As for clutter, I like your attitude, it’s comforting now and will give the kids something to do later on. Thanks for sharing your take, it’s fun to see how differently we all approach these little daily habits.

  1. A short walk to the kitchen to see how breakfast is coming along.
  2. Yes that’s a good idea. Water is essential.
  3. I smile at Ms d00d and she smiles back.
  4. I’m a naturally tidy person who wishes I was more untidy, that’s my aim.
  5. I write lots of things down. But life is not like that, we’re grateful one minute, ungrateful the next.

Tips for the next few days.
Try to get up early so that the morning walk is while its still an ok temperature - we’ve got afternoon temps of mid-30’s deg C all this week. Especially early if you’re walking your dog(s).
Make sure the tomato and chili plants get plenty of water, especially the ones in pots.
Take it easy in the afternoon - read a book in the shade, or doze in the shade.
Get that fun factor (30 minimum) sun screen on when out and about - back of neck - and wear a hat !
Make sure the bottle of rose wine and bottles of IPA are properly chilled for the drinks & nibbles with friends at the end of the afternoon. Plus lots of ice for the G&T’s.
Right, that’s me sorted.

I am getting a bit worried about my visit in July. When I last visited the UK it was May and if I hadn’t been able to borrow my brother’s Sweden gear I would have frozen most of the time. Now it looks like a hot summer?

Don’t mind temperatures in the 30s but I am used to low humidity and Britain’s humidity is never low.

I think the UK is going to have a nice week, although a bit warm on Tuesday.

I’m going to have a scorching week and then storms.
