Time to recommend a movie?

This time it is an 8 part mini series.
Stephen Kings 11.22.63
A present day high school teacher has the chance to change history by stopping the assassination of JFK.
He goes through a time portal at his local diner and ends up in the same place, Lisbon, Maine, but on the 21st October 1960. He lives there for three years right up to 11.22.63. No spoiler from me.
An interesting and thought provoking show asking, “What if”
There is a build up to the finale and being almost 7 hours entertainment, not normally how Stephen King Books are adapted
7/10 from me.

The way the world is heading lately, Dr Strangelove would be apt.

The Miniaturist. A Haunting, Sumptuous Drama set in 1686 Amsterdam.
I am only 15 minutes into the film and know for certain I will enjoy this, “Evocative, spellbinding drama big on atmosphere”

Thank you for posting this. All Caine movies are above average, in my opinion.

This one is a tear-jerker at the end…but a powerful film in itself.

Vanishing Point (1971) - It’s in my personal top five for car chase movies.

The remake of the 1971 classic. One of the few remakes that I believe were better than the original. Stallone pulled off the leading role better than Caine IMO.

THE KING

Outstanding atmosphere and acting, one of my top ten. Based on real events . Main actor now very much in demand

I never really liked Dark Star. Didn’t see what it was so hyped up to be. Even if it was John Carpenter’s premier movie, It just didn’t do it for me. I gave it a 3 out of 10.
