This afternoon - Bempton RSPB Centre

The day was warm and sunny - and the sea unbelieveably calm. The noise of the birds was phenominal - and I will leave the smell to your imaginations!!

Lots of Gannets

and Puffins - now they are quite shy and not very cooperative about being photographed. There is one in this photo I promise - just peeping out of his burrow.

What an interesting day out Tabby :slightly_smiling_face:

So many birds, I imagine it must have been deafening most of the time.

Superb photos!

Thank you, Mags. Yes - the noise was incredible. Normal Gull sounds, squabbles over who could nest where, and baby birds screeching for food. We were hoping to see the Albatross - he was around on Tuesday but, sadly, not today.

How interesting. I have never seen a puffin except in a zoo and Guinness ads

They are rather cute - but very shy.

Looks like a smashing day out Tabby and didn’t you pick your day, the east coast isn’t always that kind…
