Things we seldom see in homes anymore

We had a Pantry with a door and inside would be stores of home made cakes and spare tins and guess lots more…it had a little window that led to the back of the house…so my Sister and I would squeeze through the little window and pinch some cakes…thinking now we could have made it easy and gone sneaking through the door via the Kitchen.was going to get told off anyway.
In the pantry was a fridge like box that you poured a small amount of water through the top to cool it…that was our first ‘‘fridge’’

Before and after the gas fridge we had a pantry that you walk in with a stone shelf.
We lived in a council house and would have had a coal bunker.
