There have been 27 James Bond Movies since 1962

How many have you watched?
I am not sure I have seen any, in it’s entirety.
Might have watched Octopussy, no, I doubt I have watched that.
I guarantee I have not watched one in the last 40 years.

I like the one where he risks life and limb to deliver a Box of Chocolates.

As I said, I have not watched a Bond film so I know not what you talk about. :slightly_smiling_face:

Probably seen all of them at some point and I would say most of them are rubbish, especially the Roger Moore ones. I do like the Daniel Craig iteration, especially Casino Royale and Skyfall.

I used to be a bit bond oficionado and have to disagree, the character in the Connery/Moore era was a bit believable in what a human is capable of, now the films have to reflect the Techy-Super hero entertainment world we live in, something has been lost, never bothered watching the latest offering.

One of the things which distinguishes the Daniel Craig version is the character is flawed, he has no gadgets like the others and no glamorous Bond Girls, who usually come with silly names.

I remember reading an interview with Roger Moore about being Bond and he thought the character was ridiculous. Has just the right gadgets at just the right time, girls everywhere and everyone knows who he is - despite being a secret agent. I guess Roger just took the role as a paying actor, not that I blame him.

I did like the early Sean Connery ones, but hated Diamonds Are Forever. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Diamonds Are Forever was my entry point, 1971 I think it was, the camp assassin’s had the audience in stitches, the gadgets were sort of credible, but, what is missing now is the tongue in cheek and the humor don’t think the current offering is for kids anymore

I’ve seen all the bonds, roger moore was the best imo, he started out playing bond, as bond, but he changed to playing bond as roger moore, not keen on the Daniel Craig ones, I think it lost something when bond didn’t have all the gadgets…

I’ve seen a number of them but only when they were shown on TV for free, i.e. years after the release. I remember Goldfinger as the first or one of the first ones I’d seen. While the ones with Connery soon started looking dated due to poor special effects, the low point was the last film before Craig took over with scenes set in Iceland or some Arctic region and an exaggerated, even silly choreography of death. Craig’s first film got rid of all the clutter and marked a fresh start.

I remember one of the real early ones with George Lazenby. I think he only did the one film and he actually got wed … to Dianna Rigg. By the end of the film he was widowed.
He played a good James Bond … a bit of the rough stuff.

Roger Moore was far too much a ladies man. Wasn’t keen on him, probably because I associated him with his role in The Persauders, alongside Tony Curtis.
Though I did love the intro music for that one.

The only one I liked was Goldfinger, and the only James Bond for me was Sean Connery. Not really my type of film but my husband loved them, so I saw bits n pieces…Not impressed. :upside_down_face:

I tend to go for the bad guys … there’s been some good ones too. Some quite hunky.

Donald Pleasence, Telly Savalas, Christopher Walken and I think, but I’m not sure Sean Bean.
Yes, you can keep James Bond, too wimpish.

Never seen a whole one, only popular bits on the TV.They were ok but never tempted me to spend two hours watching one.

Roger Moore to me will always be The Saint.

It was and there were.

There were some blokes in it too I think but I don’t remember them

I do … they were quite dishy.
I do remember it was weird about John Steed in the Avengers … early on he wore a trench coat and was rough around the edges … by the second series he had a total makeover with the bowler and the upper class clipped accent.

Without hesitation this was and still is my all time favourite. The voodoo/tarot cards elements made it exciting.

Well over the top but that’s what made it work. Loved Roger Moore’s witty, suave (smart arsed) one liners.
What a cracking song from Paul McCartney and Wings too!
