Those born in the Year of the Tiger are born leaders, they walk and talk assertively and inspire respect. They are courageous & energetic, love a challenge and are prepared to take risks. They love excitement and attention. They can also be rebellious, short-tempered &outspoken, preferring to give orders than take them, which can lead to conflict. Tiger people may appear calm but there is hidden aggressiveness, they can also be sensitive, humorous & capable of great generosity and love. Never a dull moment with a Tiger.
Wear hats and shoes with a tiger image for good luck. 2022 is the Year of the Water Tiger, & predicts a prosperous year because of the Tiger’s auspicious signs : strength, exorcising evils & courage.
To attract good luck decorate your house with kumquat trees (?! perhaps something for Bruce?) eat rice dumplings for family togetherness, peanuts for vitality and walnut cookies for happiness.
Last night one of my Malaysian Chinese friends sent me a photo of all the red packets she had to prepare. Each red packet contains money for relatives and children, it is gift from the older to the young.
Yes but Bruce do you have a kumquat tree? I remember these being trendy in the UK, you could buy them in Homebase, but these days nowhere to be seen. Well they do sell them on Suttons. But they seem to be a 1980s middle class relic.
Thanks for sharing by the way. Nice to see the way it’s celebrated on the other side of the world.
