The USA and the settler colony of Israel has started a war with Iran

it’s literally like feeding a sealion…

First off, what we have in the US under Donald J. Trump is a Fascist Regime, otherwise I agree with you. What Trump describes as “radicalized” Europeans are none-Fascist Europeans, and as you have witnessed per some in this group, there are quite a few Fascist Europeans (even those countries who do not acknowledge).

Now brace for an even bigger oil shock

They are speculating that fuel could reach $5 a litre at the bowser. All previous oil shocks pale in comparison.

Looks like, as predicted the USA, is walking away having achieved bugger all except a lot of damage and leaving the world in a worse state.

To be fair Mr T’s latest ham-fisted administration’s may be the poorest Middle Eastern intervention in history (and probably the most poorly thought-through military project ever!), but involvement in the Middle East has been part of the agenda of every US administration since the 1950s. I think it was Obama who tried half-heartedly to move away from this approach. I don’t know enough about the others. Carter tried with Camp David but then he had the Iran crisis. Nothing really changed because the US moving away from backing everything Israel does (however brutal) is not an option it seems.

He should be impeached for this but doubt it will happen. I woke up today thinking how completely stupid he is to make such a mess.

Yes I knew that really Morty, but it begs the question, why are all these refugees fleeing their country when they should be fighting for it. If anyone came storming up our street I would fight until my last breath, not run away to another country and start flying my flag and protesting.

Can anyone explain why we are short of diesel and petrol because there is trouble in Iran?
Yes, I know all about the straights of Hormuz, but it’s not like the Suez canal is it, it doesn’t go anywhere…
Hormuz
How come we have become so reliant on middle eastern oil?
It was always going to be a problem because the arabs have always been a bit flakey to do business with…I think they are very clever, but see the world differently than us.

Why can’t we bury the hatchet and buy Russian oil?
Or oil from the USA?
Or even drill for our own in the north sea?
I know it’s just musing…But…
If you wanted everyone to buy an electric car when sales had hit an all time low, what’s the best way to sway all the petrol heads? Start a war in the middle east and make oil rare or expensive… :115:
Ed miliband is laughing all the way to the bank…Well he was so smug on good morning Britain in one of his ‘I told you so’ moments.

I suspect that you are being facetious OGF?
How can ordinary people defend themselves and fight against drones, bombs, tanks, gas?
Could you?

OGF my understanding is that Britain isn’t reliant on middle eastern oil. But if global supply reduces because of Mr T’s

> oops! I didn’t know that was going to happen when I pressed the button marked “do not press this button” !"

moment, then our sources will see demand for their oil stocks shoot right up sending the price up for everyone.

There does seem to be a lull in any concrete news … instead I suspect the media, reluctant to let it slide of the headlines, are beefing up their own snazzy headlines

Trump warns he’ll pull out of NATO.
Trump warns he’ll bomb Iran back to the Stone Age.

I don’t think the media has ever been so bad …not even over the Jimmy Savile witch hunts. I’m seriously beginning to doubt everything I read.

There is also a world of similarity between suggesting it and obviously supporting it.

As I have said many times before, Corporate America is in collusion with Nazi Don, and media is a major conspirator. The mission is to create doubt about any/ every bit of information given to the public, even via AI research engines, pay close attention to the inconsistency in the different news sources (especially AI reaerach engines). I research everything read/ hear.

Albert Einstein is often quoted as having said: "I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones" .

So if middle eastern oil can affect global supply so much, then clearly, the middle east must supply most of the worlds oil? Like I said, the Straights of Hormuz doesn’t go anywhere, so how come it causes so much upheaval when it gets blocked?
Surely many country’s that produce oil don’t have to pass through the straights…So why is it such a problem?

Yes Morty, I believe that…
A nuclear war will not destroy all mankind (or womankind) but it would destroy the house of cards that is our cushy life. But really, that cushy life will be destroyed eventually with or without world war Three.

it’s the Persian Gulf, the Gulf states - oil is what they do! They need to get it from A to B and this is the cheapest way!
