The Tacky Twosome

How much does the Queen pay in council tax?

According to the local rag, the Queen pays around £2,300 a year in council tax for whole of Windsor Castle.

In Windsor you’ll pay £4,153.66 a year if your house falls into council tax band H.

You can be poor in more than one way Muddy. :pensive:

So you think the Queen would rather be with her dogs than her grandson & his family - not forgetting the new baby she’s never seen?

You don’t give her much credit for having normal feelings do you?

Absolutely I do! the Queen has never been a touchy fully granny she prefers being with her horses and dogs . Probably was more upset at missing the Derby !
Why people think old ladies go ga ga over babies I can’t think .one baby looks a lot like another and they could have brought that baby over to see her any times since it was born they have nothing else to do .
Besides It’s the Jubilee she has a lot more on than a kiddies birthday party for a one year old that she doesn’t know.
She has loads of great grandchildren another couple are no great shakes very nice now back to my horses …….

I think l agree with you Muddy because l am starting to have doubts about William.
There are always two sides to a story and l am now wondering if there’s more to this than we have been led to believe.

If HM lives for as long as her mum, then she has a few more years left in her. One feels a bit sorry for Charles. He dresses and behaves like an old stuffed shirt now. Goodness knows when he finally gets to be King what he will be like then.

I liked that sketch with Paddington Bear, thinking our Queen is a game ole bird. Her smiles were lovely.

Best not disagree with Muddy unless you can present the facts Tabby… :018:

Tabby has given the fact .

Yes, but in all fairness Jazzi, he will be 74 this year, so he is no spring chicken.
If that were us, we would probably have a few aches and pains by now, and get a bit tired, and be winding down on things.
I certainly wouldn’t want to take on a huge new committment at that age.
Continually in the cricising public eye, watching what I wear, jumping on me every time I opened my mouth and my privacy gone out the window - no matter what the pay.
All that, and coming nearly 10 years after retirement age too. No thanks. Not for all the tea in China.

I just can’t find it in me to feel sorry for Harry, he betrayed his family. That’s how I see it and would see it if it were my family. Some things in life are private and for a family member to bad mouth such a high profile public figure is in my mind just wrong. The pair of them have done a lot of damage to the Royals.

The one I feel sorry for in all this is the Queen, she must have been so disappointed, well I would have been anyway. Of course I’m speculating because I can’t possibly know how she feels about it all without actually speaking to her about it all but I wonder if I’m right in my thinking.

I used to love Harry, how happenings can change a perspective.

I have no suspicion at all about William, he is a fine man who would make a fantastic king with the beautiful Kate beside him. I respect William because he keeps his thoughts and things private.

I agree with you, Queenie. I like William and Kate too.
Charles is too old to begin a new job at 73. He is the best one for experience mind, but would he have the energy now?

I can’t understand the complaints, they came to celebrate Grannie’s 70 years in a “job”. Who can not wish them well?

You either get rid of the lot of them or you accept that they live a privileged life and you are going have to pay for them one way or another. Picking on a couple of them for living in the USA and calling them tacky is hardly fair.

I think he might pass it to William, but be there as a guiding influence? I doubt it will happen soon though - at least not this year, assuming the queen stays with us.

picking on them for living in USA …eh? I couldn’t care less where they live, I have nothing against the privileged life they have, I’m happy with my lot and don’t envy anyone in the public eye, never in a million years would I want to be famous, I’d hate it because of the scrunity from the likes of me lol.

Harry has done his family an injustice in my mind.

Best you don’t google the goss about him then!

Being booed during some of his and Kate’s trips to countries in the commonwealth, were a bit unfortunate.

I’m not really bothered about the goss, I like him and Kate. for all the boos I bet there were a lot more cheers

I don’t particularly like Meghan but I’m coming round to thinking that what came out in the Oprah interview may have had a lot more truth in it than it seemed to many, probably because it came as a shock to hear that the Windsor’s were the the horrible racist shower that they are. The UK MSM have regularly stoked the fire too, probably encouraged by “The Firm’s” propaganda machine.

But VERY understandable.
