Fabulous, isn’t it! The species that cause bioluminescence tend to bloom in late summer when sea surface temperatures rise and one of the few benefits of a red tide. It’s an incredible experience if you ever have the opportunity to see it in the waves, wake of a cruise ship, kayak, or SUP.
