@JBR , Yep,Scargill and his ilk have a lot to answer for eh !
However they did me a favour by being largely responsible for me
immigrating ??
Oh. I have just seen the unions are only asking for 5 – 7% increase !!
Considering inflation is projected to be at least 10% this does not seem
to be greed ??
Donkeyman!
Very true and that is why we should support strike action against this awful government. They are not Conservatives. They are not fit to even be a government. Sleaze runs through virtually all of them. Would Labour be any better? Well they really couldn’t be any worse.
just wot the UK needs - everyone is so unfit getting people walkin; bikein ; joggin etc will improve overall fitness of the nation - or will they just all stay at home?
Ernest Marples, minister for Transport in 60s. Tories, no doubt, will find another crooked slime ball among their midst to ape Ernest Marples and get rid of the railways for good.
With inflation going up and interest rates going up, I can’t help but think that companies will seriously start to question productivity of workers. As far as the civil service is concerned its an ideal opportunity to get rid of a load of them. If they don’t come into the office or go to work, sack them and then pile on pressure on the ones left, just like what happens in the private sector.
A sign of things to come, I suppose.
I can imagine what this country will be like in 20 or 30 years. Fortunately, I’ll not be around… or perhaps I’ll be past caring!
We let the hard left get a foothold with woke culture, net zero, critical race theory, LGBTQI+ etc because the moderates (the majority) let them. We only have ourselves to blame and all because we were too afraid to speak up because of fear from the mob.
Still not seen any chaos caused by the rail strike yet !
Only thing lve seen was a report that traffic in London is taking 25%
longer than before ?? It never said at what time ‘before’ ??
I assume all was ok though as no video accompanied the report, only
deserted stations ??
