If you want them to be truly offended play them any Kevin Bloody Wilson song. I might suggest the Featherbrain Championship. It is seriously bad language though.
I remember those halycon days of yore when we enjoyed our Indian summers often and we innocently called our friends ‘dick’ if he was a Richard without a hint of a snigger or a laugh - we would need to look into the sociolinguistic nature to determine its origin of course? but perhaps we have become more scientific now ; more puritanical too perhaps? and frightened by accusations of ‘you are not pure enough in your thoughts’?

Cynical old me is wondering now if we haven’t been “played’ a bit by York Dungeon!
It was the dungeon who gave this story to the papers, no parents have been named or come forward and identified themselves, they haven’t produced a letter or email showing the complaint! No formal protest movement or letters to MPs? 
And they just say “several” parents. So how many’s that then? Three? Four? Not many out of their thousands of visitors🤣
I can’t help wondering if they’ve taken some casual remarks or a couple of nutter complaint letters and made them into a “thing” for a bit of publicity.
And it worked, they’re all over the national media suddenly everyone knows about the dungeon and it’s Dick Turpin ride
