Fascinating thread.
There are books promoting the fact that mathematically there has been insufficient time for humans to evolve on Earth.
This is true if you accept the premise that evolution is completely linear and that every possible combination must be followed.
This is not however how evolution works.
The most successful mutation is the one that is followed, which greatly cuts down the time required for humans to evolve

As I was Saying, like religion, the truth about evolution is being challenged as more evidence (or the lack of) comes to light.

The so called science is just plain wrong.
One of the sources quoted is that of an anti abortion lobby.
These people claim that a new , distinct life is created at conception and the gender is chosen at that point
This is wrong, all mammalian foetuses are initially female and the gender develops later.
It is all part of the intelligent design theory.

If you want something just as interesting but easier to read try Steve Jones. Steve Jones is a geneticist and a Fellow of the Royal Society, arguably better qualified than Richard Dawkins on the subject of evolution and a much better communicator.

I have heard that theory before. Though I can’t now remember where it was, I seem to remember that it was a reliable source. I might look it up later.
Absolutely. The suggestion or belief in some sort of supernatural ‘designer’ (God) is ridiculous. Unfortunately, as so many people are still religious and firmly believe in it, it is unacceptable to say so in public!

when he published his findings all those years ago when religion was
the rule ??
Darwin is greater than Dawkins and Jones imo simply because he was the
first to publish his ideas so much earlier!
I believe later evolutionists only built on Darwin’s work ??
Genetics was not well understood when he was alive and so he didn’t have
the benefit of using it, unlike later evolutionists ??

And bear in mind that there have been a couple of cataclysmic events that wiped most of the life forms (including dinosaurs) of the face of the earth…
