I have occasionally tried my luck on the health lottery but recently I have been blocked by a message saying this site can’t provide a safe connection. I still have a small amount in the bank on the site. Any ideas on what the problem is. Could it be my malwarebytes anti virus?
Have a look at the padlock in the address bar. If it’s open, then the site is insecure but you can usually bypass this by clicking “Allow” on a dialogue box that appears when this is the case. The address, if insecure, starts with “http”. If it’s a secure site, it will start with “https”.
Thanks Percy. The health lottery does have https in the address but I keep getting the same message " healthlottery.co.uk sent an invalid response" and “this site can’t provide a safe connection” I think it must be my malwarebytes anti virus.
Are you running any so called security software? If so these often cause false security issues. Next, is the time & date on your computer/phone correct?
I too am running malawarebytes. The free version, with everything, but the ability to run scans, disabled & I am accessing it OK. But the reason I don’t run the paid for Malawarebytes is because it slows my PC down significantly & everything runs so much better without it. Or anything like it.
If neither of the above applies, then try clearing cache & cookies. that sometimes helps.
After that it could be a security setting on your Internet Service Providers account, that you need to adjust.
Thanks Gee. My malwarebytes is a freebie from my bank. The strange thing is I had no problems logging in until about a fortnight ago. I don’t have the technical ability to alter settings. I still have £11 in my account there so I will just have to write it off. I have never won anything on there anyway so it will save me money.
