I love the Goons. Got so many of their audio shows on CDs.
Good stuff.I liked the way they brought Ray Ellington more into the speaking bits.
And Harry was just as big a star as the other two.
I have a large number of cassettes of the Goons and Hancock’s Half Hour recorded from when the ABC Radio National used to broadcast them at some absurd time like 5am. I should transfer them to CD while I still have a working cassette player.
The goon show is on bbc radio 4 extra every Tuesday at 8am and 1pm every week
