We know many predictions of fantastic new inventions never came to fruition. Some were found within films… LOL!
Remember “Back to the future” where they said that we might have flying cars circa 2015? 
Seriously, the one change in technology I’m bit disappointed with is the new digital home phone. When you want to end a call by slamming the phone down… Oh the lovely memories… Nowadays we can’t do that.
To get back to the flying cars… Probably after 2030? Or maybe a cheaper alternative the Star Trek transporters?
Fuel (aka Dinosaurs leftovers) will eventually dry up. Talks of converting to solar energy from 2024. They’ll definitely have to find alternative transports…
