Another thread about old and original advertising reminded me of the Guinness Clock decades ago in Battersea Park. I went into YouTube and found some colour footage …anyone else remember that clock or the general fair in that park during 1951?
I remember something very tall and pointed at both ends , I think it was called the Skylon.?
People from our village hired a bus to go to see it.Everyone was very impressed.
I think a variety of Guinness clocks sprung up everywhere.There was one at Barry Island.
The clock must have really impressed me as I have Guinness lamps and other stuff all around my house, but then I was born in a London pub during WWII 
I can’t think of a better place to be born

That did remind me of things I’d forgotten. I was 9 when I went but really don’t remember much about it.
