This little dog comes to our house regularly and she chat’s with mdog.
This was Max:
Just got back from looking at the puppies.
The one with the green collar is the one that we’ve chosen.
His name is going to be River and we’ll have him when he’s 8 weeks, but we can see him at 4 weeks and she’ll send other pics as well. We’ve paid the £300 deposit already. He’s mom is 7 so it will be her last litter, after that they don’t get the contractions in labour.
They are about the same age as the litter my daughter is having her first pup , a Lab , has to wait till 3rd week of june …
They so adorable at that age , shes having a Girl .
Yes ours will be the 26th of June.
Berrie…my Blue Tick/Border Collie mix
From Left to Right…youngest to oldest…all three were abandoned animals I found on my property over the years and adopted them
King Caesar - Named for the Godzilla Universe character because when we found him his little ears stuck out like the character. A Black Lab/Beagle mix: When we found him, he was so covered in ticks that he was anemic and it took three dips to get off all the fleas.
Berrie (AKA Christmas Berrie) - My Blue Tick/ Border Collie mix. Named by my late wife because she found her a few days before Christmas. She currently weighs in at 80 pounds, but when she was found she weighed less than 15 and was about a year old. So was so starved that she was eating dirt, sticks and any vegetation she could find.
Finally there is Nox, my pureblood Black Lab. She was named after the Roman Goddess of Night since we found her on her porch at midnight. She had been abused and her jaw had been deformed so she was discarded (she had that crooked smile like Holly Hunter in “The Firm”).Surprisingly, she had the strongest bite power I ever witnessed and could crush a Kong Ball flat. She passed away last year from cancer and is missed daily.
What a sad life some dogs have , ive had 2 rescue dogs, and 2 from owners …
They’ve got some serious bones to work on
Sorry to hear about Nox,you gave her a good life though.
They may have had a rough start, but it’s been gravy for them since. Right now both are sleeping behind me on the couch, each with their heads up on pillows copying me when I sleep.
Nox was the only one who kept up with the bones. The other two never adopted the habit. I’ve thrown the ones we had left out for the possums and coon to gnaw on. They seem happy too.
That’s a shame about Nox, but you gave her a good life.
I’ve thought about rescue golden retrievers but the ones that come up needs a home by themselves.
