Yep, I think we are coming to the end of technological progress Spitty, we are about to enter the phase of regression.
More and more people are losing the skills that brought us here because of too many distractions.
This will most likely be renamed the ‘Craziest part’ of existence.

Remember the wooden box hanging on the wall, the crank and party line,
The farmer ladies talking all day long. The Operator and her plugs.
Now its, "Hold the line until a live Hu-mon-associate responds.’ (don’t put me on hold)
Our basic Aliens today are the ones causing _ _ _ _ all the time.
Now that’s something we can budget for when Civilization is breaking down.
It’s sort of easy to understand that there are a lot of stuff going on outside our Light Speed / Gravity / Physical universe we call space time. Most likely many dimensions to the mix.
It took Earth under 5 billion years to create a civilisation that can send radio signals and leave the planet if only for a short while. The Universe is over 13 billion years old so you would think that in that time life would have evolved somewhere.
However there is absolutely no evidence to show that there is life existing anywhere even though SETI has been searching for years. Distance is a problem, let’s face it, only a star system within a 100 light years of us stands any chance of knowing we are here and that assumes someone is looking.
Sentient life might be such a chancy business that it hasn’t developed anywhere else in the universe, Dinosaurs, amoebas and bacteria aren’t building radio transmitters are they?
Good post Bruce, and a theory that I subscribe to.

All those billions though, that’s hard to swallow.
I’m pretty sure physical life / intelligence isn’t the intelligence the Complete Universe has and is looking for more of. Our Brains sort of scramble when in space too long. It’s been proven Sci-Fi is just that, pure
B.S. Station 100 on the Moon for 4 years and watch a colony of retards return.
My prediction is that life is not going to be like Star Trek in the next 1000 years.
More like Dark Uplifter are accurate observations.
Yep This

I like the Jefferson Starship line about the stars being the label on the jar.
I’m sure the # 1 answer to the #1 question is… Why does Immortal intelligence want to create Hydrogen. Then follow that up with the rest of the stuff. What game is it playing, because it probably has a real reason, … does it?
My belief is’ thare is no such thing’ as some kind of kinky thing happens 18 billion of years ago.
More than likely Chaos in the Jar of Time and Space would be accurate enough for me.
I can’t accept chaos happening explaining stuff ! The basic existence of very tiny thingy’s vibrating &
the early happening of Hydrogen and Helium lead to the existence of everything we know.
Stupid, most likely isn’t an acceptable answered response to an immortal, eternal, intelligence question.
Maybe life’s existing and intelligence past just adds to the immortal, eternal intelligence over the trillions of billions of billions of eternal years past. So, the immortal intelligence keeps growing cause thas how it does it, living intelligence / life, its survival instinct, is its + factor ?
The thought being its ‘Elementary’ … ‘Basic’ … Watson.
So basically, everything that has ever existed as life with the dream of survival, physically dies and joins the eternal, immortal, intelligence of the Universe or whatever! An immortal / forever / Eternal plan has a very sketchy drawing, doesn’t it? My thought is it just is, there is no explanation other than that. It Is it, … just is! Maybe a Void just can’t exist without intelligence in it! So accuse it of being stupid, not wanting to be all alone. Your hammer! Yep, now you got inhabitants in the empty wide open.
Remember Space and Time are what we observe as physical intelligent thingies. But it is also at the speed of a Mud Slug! You know it takes near 250 million earth years for Sol to Orbit the Milky Way once. Da da da, Snails a thought! 4 trips ago we probably didn’t exist as early Humans. Look back to where Sol and Earth were and its astronomical in distances.
Now accepting the expansion of an entire universe to be somewhere around millions of light years per second because there is no outer boundary, it just gets bigger and i gets to feel really dumb. We can’t see the places beyond our light years. It probably has an explanation ?
Travel at the speed of light for a year and ya blew off over 10 trillion km’s of space. These distances have no balance in our brains. Ok get in a space craft and follow Voyager, you will be a vegetable in 20 years!
This is the speed humans observe, so many decades been a knocking now!
What we see is a physical interpretation of Time due to light speed /space and gravity.
It has nothing to do with the Total Eternal existence of the Universes Immortal Intelligence.
Remember even back when no one new much, they understood immortality, they just didn’t
understand that it wasn’t about being physically alive. They thought eternal life meant physical sex and stuff!
Never really got a satisfactory explanation how come there is all that molten stuff, just below our feet for Billions of years ![]()
I don’t believe we come from this planet …Could Noah’s ark be more than just a fairy tale in the Bible?
Have we interpreted the Bible all wrong?
There’s got to be something more to scriptures that have survived for at least 2000 years.
The Bible is still hugely sought after and read. Why?
It’s basically the same in all religions, perhaps different characters.
Humans already had the knowledge that we have today, but didn’t know what to do with it. Take Electricity, it’s always been there so it wasn’t invented, somebody just found a use for it and put it to work.
Perhaps too much knowledge will eventually wipe out the human race as we know it and it will start all over again.
Perhaps we are looking in the wrong place for our answers.
As a famous film character once said…“You can’t handle the truth”
Possible Foxy but most unlikely?

Would you believe I’ve only just discovered this thread …

But I’ve read that book above … Von Daniken.
Ah, (big sigh ) … I guess I ought to nip back to read from the start as it looks mind expanding and consciousness raising.
Once man figured out how to use a Stone, Club, mallet, stone tied to a club, spear, bow & arrow, tamed horses to ride, made saddles to go with bridles and Tents, he has just continued to screw up everything he touches, does and dreams of. Individuals aren’t quite so bad but mans a disaster.
Mans crusade across planet Earth has been a nightmare. Individuals were brave, maybe even hero inly
but the Earth comes to hate his exploits! It’s payback time, the ground shaking in anticipation of the gruel in the pot it has & remembers.
