Voyager I is now 1 light day away away from Earth.
The nearest star to Earth (apart from the Sun) is 4.25 light years away so that will be 74000 years before Voyager reaches that distance. As for the centre of the Milky Way I suspect our sun will be long gone by the time Voyager reaches there.

I suppose to an ant the earth is infinite and can’t possibly imagine how big it actually is…Sort of like space to us.
I think size is relative and we don’t realise how small and insignificant we are, but the World Wide Web and the Aeroplane makes it seem so much smaller than it actually is.
I started to get an inkling while on a cruise once.
we left Barbados and sailed for eight days back to Southampton. During that time we didn’t see another ship or any sign of land. And that journey was only a very small portion of the world. It puts stuff into perspective.

We had a wiener roast via outside fire yesterday, the gentle breeze from the northwest.
