Winter in SW France arrived suddenly after a long, warm autumn. Today it starts at 2 deg and rises to a giddy 6 deg by mid afternoon. To add to my cold weather fun, I’m on an electricity tariff that, overall saves money - but on designated days electricity is brutally expensive. Its designed to reduce domestic demand when overall pressure on the system goes up. And I certainly reduce the demand from my house - pretty much all electrics are switched off.

Was speaking to my son in Perth Scotland earlier it’s minus 6 there. It’s minus 3 here.

I like the heat Bretrick but 40C would be too hot for me…
A Pleasant 6 degrees C here at the moment, I’d like it warmer, but if winter stops like this you won’t hear Foxy complaining.

We’ve been threatened with a 40 on Monday.Then back to the 20’s again.Experienced Aussies here think we are in for a hot summer.The first Xmas I was here it got to 13.

Whatever weather Perth gets generally speaking the east coast gets four/five days later. though lately we’ve been getting the tropical humidity sweeping down from the north (not used to that)
