Women can be two inches shorter.
Live to 80 and over? more shrinkage

If you live long enough, it is conceivable one will disappear up ones own orifice.

I have “shrunk” half an inch between 20 and 60-ish

That could muffle my speech! 
It’s all down to being dragged down by years of the Earth’s gravity so I’ve heard. If so, I suppose laying down a lot could avoid it. Then we might be a lot flatter too.
