I came to Moora to see what has happened in regards to the Carnaby Cockatoos sculpture.
Having previously emailed the council twice and not receiving a response, nothing on the internet about the sculptures, bar 2 year old stories, I decided to take a run up here and ask the council in person.
Never had to go to the council, I asked a local on the progress of said sculptures and told her about me emailing council and receiving no response.
Her reply was" That doesn’t surprise me, the council want nothing to do with the sculpture. The sculpture is actually finished but is languishing in Brisbane, Queensland, (4,300 km away)
where it was made and there does not appear to be a plan to get it over here."
Tomorrow I will take a run up to Carnamah to see the giant Tractor. 120km up the road.
The tractor is 11.5 metres high, and 16 metres long, was constructed using 42 tonnes of steel by DIAB Engineering in Geraldton.

Oz is full of big things.I’ve seen the giant koala ![]()
That would have impressed at one time, not now, not since becoming an extractor fan ![]()
