I received an email today saying that my TV license renewal has failed and invites me to set up a new procedure. I strongly suspect that it is a fraud. I have not done as they ask and am mentioning this as a warning. The email address of the sender is info@tiez.jp
. Pretty pathetic but I expect someone will fall for it.

Well played. Thanks for the heads up.
The .jp domain should make everyone suspicious since .jp registrations are only allowed if the registrant has a physical address in Japan and has Japanese language skills.

i always make a hard printed copy and not rely on internet postings as soon as paid via internet. definately a scam message not just for TV licence costs but to gain access to your bank details
That’s always a good warning sign.We regularly get someone pretending to be our internet provider but they never have .au

I ignore any unexpected emails that haven’t been caught by yahoo junk mail .
I simply delete unread .
If someone is desperate to get in touch they can post a letter.
I find it works well
