As the title says I’m surprised and more than a bit hacked off at this. Why should they not have to follow the rules? We are told that we’re all in the storm together, Maybe we are, but some are in a lot bigger boats (with privileges) than others.
Makes me wonder if this is where Andrew gets his crafty ways from.

With rank comes privileges is something that has been around for just about ever , and living proof of this are the royalty. I’ve nothing against the queen and there’s no doubt she has fulfilled her role but perhaps now is the time to hand over to William and Kate, who I imagine, are more in touch with the needs of the modern world. Charles IMO will simply carry on where his mother left off, and sad to say I don’t trust him.
And she’s got the cheek to do that video spiel thing at COP26…aye right, love, away ye go. 
She probably knows the plans aren’t going to work. I’m sure there is more to this than meets the eye knowing the Guardian. It would probably mean cutting through and disturbing nature reservations on royal estates.
Oi! That’s her Majesty Queen Elizabeth of Australia you are talking about. Your job is to keep her in the style to which she has grown accustomed and tug your forelocks, it is not your job to criticise someone chosen by god to rule.
It is far from the first time she has lobbied to avoid laws of the country.
In makes me want to spit all the privileges the Royals get/have/use along with all the celebs and rich folk who get away with so much and who are complete and utter privileged hypocrites.
It’s us lowly folk who do our bit but get sod all recognition but yet it’s all our fault, or so they think.
They expect more and more from us while they carry on regardless.
And if it’s slightly off topic, I couldn’t care less. I just wanted to rant.

I couldn’t give a monkeys about the Queen’s exemption. I am worried about these heat networks and how many fields and gardens they will want to dig up. It’s a funny way to find out about these plans.
