Hi all! Last Saturday, 2.7.26, as a 70 year age challenge, I stopped in Laguna to try climbing a notoriously steep hill, and at 31% grade, makes it one of the steepest streets in the US.
A reporter from a local newspaper met me there for an interview, and then perched himself at the top of the hill to take some shots as I made my climb attempt. I think both he and I were surprised that I actually made it to the top without having a heart attack!
If you want to read the article here’s a link to that and then there’s a short video of the climb in the link after that. Cheers!

You never cease to amaze me Terry, absolutely brilliant.
My car would struggle on that climb.
Do you have gears on the unicycle?
Although when I’ve cycled up steep hills on by bike, if I’m not already in the correct gear when I start the climb, it’s doomed to failure.
With a derailer you need to be going forward to make a change.
Well done…

Thanks OGF! No gears on that Uni, it’s just fixed 1:1. I do have a 26 inch Uni with a geared hub, but it only shifts to a higher gear, not lower than 1:1. Cheers!
