Whoopee! My war disablement pension has increased by £1.08 per week…I am rolling in it. In another 25000 weeks I can afford a new arm. Or 60000 weeks for a top of the range all singing and dancing model with the extendable nose picking digit and bum and groin scratcher

Excitement plus, just got a letter telling me that my next fortnightly (part) pension will be increased by $9.34 that is nearly an extra schooner a week!

As well as the council tax increase, here are some other increases Martin Lewis reckons we will have to look forward to:
Energy prices rise a typical £120/yr for most on 1 April.
Prescriptions climb to £9 on 1 April in England.
Council tax bills increase on 1 April, yet some overpay.
TV licences will rise by £4.
Water bills are going up by an average 2% on 1 April…
Dental charges check-up costs will go up from 1 April
