Today I received notification of this year’s increase in pension benefits.
For me, it’s just under £5 pw (3.1%).
Definitely better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick …

That is 0.1% more than an English Nurse received in reward for working throughout the pandemic.

That’s as maybe, Gee, but 3% of an average nurse’s salary is much more than a fiver/week.
Had this government kept it’s promise & not removed the triple lock, then the increase would have been almost three times that, at 8% so close to three fivers, not just the one.
I know but the country couldn’t afford it this year could it?
Really? But we managed a £550 per week pay rise for MP’s from next month.
