Never assume something is oven ready!!!
if you canāt stand the heat get out of the kitchen.
I feel sorry for Starmer, heās probably a nice bloke just not right for the job.
Labour is not what it was, even under Burnhamās tenureship.
Canāt we entice Putin to come over and sort Britain out?
No! Putin is definitely not welcome! As for Burnham lets give it a little time and see ![]()

Iām not keen on Putin myself ⦠but already dislike Burnham because of his tactics. I reckon heāll be gone by Christmas I just hope we donāt end up with Rayner.
Well, Iām certainly not going to sign up for his fan club, but as they say āit is what it is!ā
We shall see, Rayner for Christmas? Oh dear, how festive! ![]()

I admit i give up when it comes to politics these days, but for some reason Andy Burnham reminds me of a funeral director in that black suit - donāt know why.
And do people honestly think he has more āpersonalityā than Keir Starmer?
We need to see the country in a competent and steady pair of hands - personality comes way down on the list of priorities for me.
This might be the most dismal thread for ages. Thereās been a series of negative posts about Starmer, the man who actually did the decent thing and stepped aside in the face of a barrage of negativity. Certainly find fault in his policies or the lack of actions or the wrong actions - that is valid (although no such details have been shared). But being nasty after he did the right thing is poor behaviour. Just forget him.
But the suggestion of getting Putin to help certainly lightened the tone. Iāve not laughed so much for ages nor seen such an idiotic idea for ages. Oh how we chortled. Thx.
At least with Putin at the helm we would be protecting our borders and not creeping back into the EU through the back door.
Lets hope keir can mop up his scruples.
I imagine one of Putinās solutions would be to invade Eire, using the claim that it has always been British, thus protecting that open border. After all, that is his style.
thatās what we said about the last 7ā¦
I know! ![]()
But whatās the alternative?
we have no choice but letās not be too optimistic about the outcome this time
Iām not breaking out the party poppers just yet! ![]()

perhaps better to get the poop scooper readyā¦
Perhaps your right!
For me that was exactly the problem with Starmer. Back on election night it seemed all positive and hopeful. A year later it was all poor decisions, unclear reversals and nothing much positive.
I wasnāt positive because I read the labour manifesto beforehand
The differences between positivity, naivety and optimism?
