Spain requests UK help to rebuild tourism!

Boss of Spanish tourism asks for UK help to rebuild the tourist
trade that has suffered badly from covid and the after effects
of a disastrous Brexit outcome ??
This is reported by travel UK!
Perhaps this is the first of the long awaited benefits of Brexit
we were promised ?
How many more businesses in Europe are waiting to make their
own deals to retain their access to our markets ??
Let’s wait and see !!

Is this the same Spain, who, a couple of years ago, said that the British were no longer welcome in their country? Tough.

Err…are we expected to fund this?

In modern times., it’s become the norm for a politician to make a statement, via his/her local media, demonstrating how he/she is pushing for another country to mend it’s ways.

Once that’s been done, and the vote is safe, it can be all be forgotten.

I draw the reader’s attention to the illegal immigration management, which has seen a little of this kind of “press release” as we continue to break record illegal immigration records, day on day.

The latest, in the South of England, hardly gets a mention now!

is making investment to rebuild a sustainable touristnsector !!
If we play our cards right the German car industry will be next ?
We must keep Boris away from negotiations, Frosty will do
better without him !!

I don’t see any need to bring Brexit into this. Spain is our neighbour, why wouldn’t we want to be on good terms with them?

That’s exactly what I was thinking. They were demonstrating in the streets of the Costas shouting Brits out and Brits stay away. The Spaniards are also making life very difficult for Brit ex-pats who are living there full time.

Well I bear the Spanish no ill will, so maybe I’d better stay out of this one. :slightly_smiling_face:

@Harbal , l bear the Spanish any I’ll will either Harby !
I’m just pointing out that this may be what will happen in
other European countries that thought the UK depended on
them ?? Not the other way round !!
I live in hopes?

Spain eh? I wonder if their tourism industry is like their tram building industry.
