Sometimes the villain ruins shows for me

Ever watch shows/series where the villain puts you off the enjoyment of the show?
I am watching series 1 of Bloodline and the villain - Danny - grates on me. I would happily push him off the jetty.
The show is filmed on the Florida Keys, centred around Islamorada.
** Bloodline - Season 1**

I didn’t think you were supposed to like the villain :grinning:

This one really grates. Needs to be knee capped.

Oh this one is easy!

Every week as a kid I was sorely disappointed when the so called ghoul in Scooby Doo turned out to be some run of the mill loser…

It genuinely was an anti climax, all the Scooby snacks in the world couldn’t have made up for it! :sob:
Nobody received a silver bullet or a stake through the heart, simply not good enough! :ghost:
That’s probably part of the reason I progressed to those good old Hammer/Amicus horror films! :+1:

Quite right Spitty!

There’s a few dubious Daphne’s out there too …or so I’m led to believe!

If it was me, I’d sell the “Mystery Machine” :icon_wink:

I often used to wonder why every time they solve a mystery, why were Scooby and Shaggy always scared of the ghost/monster when it always turned out to be ranger/butler or someone they just met. Surely after a while they would come to realise that every monster/ghost is just a person?

Anyways, I never had much time for Scooby Doo after they brought in Scrappy Doo.

I don’t think Scooby and Shaggy were that bright Graham  :grinning:
Not exactly Sherlock Holmes material…

Erm … ask any lady and she might confess, with a guilty smile, to finding vilians quite fanciable. Bad boys are aways more fun.

A little danger and mystery is quite … shivering!

In my opinion it’s worse when the character who is portrayed as the villain not only makes sense but is a totally likeable chap. He’s inevitably going to get his come uppance at the hands of sanctimonious do gooders and it ruins the show.

You are letting real life spoil the show.

Real life has a way of doing that.

The show must go on.

Film Noir, morally ambiguous, we follow the baddy.

I suppose this fella was a kind of anti hero/villain…

Platoon certainly wouldn’t have been the same film without him!

Was he a good baddie or a bad goodie?

Oh! One of my favorites, but I’ve only watched it once when it first came out! I shall have to have another go! Wonderful film…

I think he thought he was a good baddie, or perhaps a bad goodie?
Never quite figured that one out myself Morticia…
