Minnie Riperton sang Lovin’ You in 1975.
Personally I loved this song and I especially loved Minnie’s delivery of it.
Her voice demanded my attention, the same way Kate Bush did.
She stood out from the crowd

Seasons in the Sun by Terry Jacks.
(Sickening sentimental slop.)
I still like it to this day Bretrick, some folk have no taste
@Bretrick As a “sufferer” of a fantastic infliction of ASMR, her voice on that recording has me in raptures which is why I own a several copies in several formats.
What is ASMR?

That is a song of Mrs mart’s and my time. Romance was in the air. We didn’t live each day in springtime but it was still worth it.
Why someone would say that was the worst song, is beyond me. Reaching a high voice pitch like that is a great talent, not all singers can do it.
It’s one of those irritating songs that everyone knows but only Ms Riperton can sing. I haven’t, knowingly, heard it in near 50 years, but knew what it was before clicking the YT link. I’ll be muttering bits of it to myself, skipping the high notes, for the rest of the day, and beyond, and I only played half the vid.
We used to smile at the way she sang ‘colours that you brwing’ Sad that she didn’t get to grow old.
