Lovely Mups, especially the dog rose!
Hah, thanks Tess.
The dog rose has come along rather well this year hasn’t it.
Lovely plants for this time of the year, Mups …
I thought you last flower was called a Lambkin…
Lovely photos, Mups!
Thanks Tabby and Mags.
I am hoping the late colour will hang on a little longer, but I suppose if we get some early frosts it will put pay to it.
I am getting more bulbs in, and planning next spring now. We’ve got to keep looking forward haven’t we.
I recently saw some lovely words, (to me anyway), yet so simple. It said. . . .
" To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow."
I love that.
Beautiful Mups
Your garden, your dogs, the quote and you!!!
IT’S nice to see a bit more colour in the garden this time of year.
Lovely garden Mups. I hope the ‘dog rose’ isn’t rooted to the spot. He/she is gorgeous.
Blimey Rhian, thank you. You’ve made me go all red now. x
Thank you Dongle, I know it won’t last much longer, but I like to enjoy it as long as poss.
Thanks Tiff.
That’s my young Gertie, bless her. She is the gentlest, most needy little soul I have ever known.
She is keen gardener, but keeps digging the wrong things up.
Lovely but I have to admit my favourite of them all is the last white flower , simply beautiful
Smashing photos Mups, looks a lovely garden and dahlias have always been a favourite of mine, such colour and variety…
Thank you for your kind comments Queenie and Barry.
Yes Barry, Dahlias have so many beautiful colours and types haven’t they. I luv 'em.
Queenie, the little fluffy white flower is rather special. Unfortunately I cannot send you a cutting though.
There’s still a bit of colour left in my garden, it adds a bit of cheer to the later months when things start to look bare in the garden. This was taken yesterday.
Is that a hedgehog to the left of the stepping stone Mags?
That is lovely Mags, so many pretty colours still.
Have you ever grown the white Nerines too?
I tried them this year and liked them. I have a feeling they are not so hardy as the pink Bowdenii ones though, but we’ll see.
What a lovely thread thank you mups .
Yes it is Barry … but it’s made of stone!
