Snuggle down

It’s dark & pouring with rain. It’s a night when I’m going to snuggle down in bed with a mug of tea & a plate of cheese on toast & watch my box set of Downton Abbey back to back…

How would you spend a snuggle down night?

Sounds lovely Carol. And am so glad you seem to have made such an excellent recovery. Have read your continuing exploits (especially about the non need of a stent), but it never felt it the right time to comment.

Enjoy your evening.

I don’t know what hobnobs are but Tim Tams are my favourite chocolate biscuit but I try to only eat a couple of packets a year. Boris obviously prefers TimTams to Hobnobs:

Generally speaking apart from the occasional Tim Tam I prefer plain biscuits, Anzac are my preferred ones followed by Butternut Snaps

I am here in my M and S leisure suit (posh pyjamas) and we’ve just had a fruit cider and cheese and onion crisps! Fancying chocolate but don’t have any.

Here you are.

Oh! That’s it? I must admit to being a bit underwhelmed. No wonder old Boris was so keen to import Tim Tams.

You can suck your hot chocolate/tea/coffee through a Tim Tam, it’s an orgasmic experience.

Tim Tams look nice - they look like small Penguins

What ever happened to dunking?
If you could handle a Rich Tea biscuit in your hot cuppa without it disintegrating then you were ready to move on to a packet of Butter Osbournes.

Actually I remember Penguins and occasionally you see them (along with Jaffa Cakes) in the foreign foods section of the supermarket. Tim Tams are much thicker and tastier and the pinnacle of biscuitry. They were a revelation when I first came to Australia nothing comes close to them and I speak as someone who doesn’t like chocolate flavoured anything.

Tim Tams are now available in the USA but taste different, something to do with the way they make chocolate.

Don’t do Snuggling, someone has to be at the Watchtower.

Well I certainly snuggled down last night. Put new bedding on which is Teddy fleece by Silent Night. Pink/grey reversible. Fitted sheet, duvet and pillowcases. I still only have a 4.5 tog duvet on.

Love Anzac biscuits .

I have been a bit of a traditionalist with Tim Tams and have only bought “Original” but last week I lashed out and bought a pack of Chewy Caramel, I have to say they were very nice.

Having said that I think, for everyday use, I prefer plain biscuits and Anzacs are my favourite though I do buy Scotch Fingers and Milk Arrowroot for a change occasionally.
