A pair of real beauties there @susiejaeger , the James 197cc was one of my first ever motorcycles, and that one is the best example that I’ve seen since!
My Husband restored that Car and sold it to an Irish Man, who took it back to |Ireland with him.
My Husband worked for Greeves Motorcycles, also on Vintage Cars.

Mmm, looks like an archimedian screw, very unusual… 
It’s near the Wensleydale “It’s Cheeeese, Gromit” facility, so I suspect it’s more likely to be an Arkrightimedian screw. 
I’ll get my coat.
