My smartphone has suddenly stopped working. It is only about six weeks since new. When I return it to the supplier I presume I will have to remove my sim and erase all my data and if so how do I go about it?
What are the symptoms Scott?
Has it just turned off altogether, if so it could just be a battery failure and your data will still be safe…

Yes, just a blank screen. I charged up today and all was fine then suddenly the screen went black. Don’t think I can remove the battery, It is a Blackview shark 8 phone.

being a smart phone I would have thought it could sort out its own failure 
That was compressive except not suggesting the removing the sim card and cleaning its contacts, only the memory card. Watching that made me so glad my phone is not smartđź‘Ť

That,s what I thought OGF. I have been in contact with makers to see what they suggest. There is a 2 year gaurantee.
