We still have a land line. The mobile signal is not reliable enough around here to do a way with it. As Dianne has said we would have to wonder the garden trying to find a good signal.
Mobile coverage is not consistent which is a shame.
This is the same set up we have.
When we had trouble with our landline, couldn’t receive or make calls, Virgin came out check the connection in the road and said they were corroded and falling to bits.
The way round was to connect the landline through the router like you have Di, so if we loose wifi we also loose phone. Luckily we don’t get long outages.
I’ll be honest, I ‘m a sucker for something new and would love one, I’ll probably give it a couple of years to make sure it gets established OK, then go for it
It will all be delivered over your internet connection won’t it, so no dish or TV aerials?
I’m told ( by someone close who is a bit less enthralled than me!) that disadvantages are that you can’t choose your own TV and connect it to this, you have to have the Sky one and that Sky’s version of Netflix isn’t the same as the separate one
Ideal for people who want Sky but live in buildings not suitable for a dish, though
