Called Uber Copter.
UBER stated the new service that will provide on-demand transportation from Lower Manhattan to JFK airport.
It’s reserved for Platinum and Diamond members of Uber’s Rewards program, which means you’ll have to already be dropping a lot of cash on Uber rides to even qualify for whirligig service.
The current update states the service will be starting in early 2026, launching an integrated helicopter and seaplane booking directly within its app through a partnership with Blade Air Mobility and Joby Aviation. This service will allow users to book quick, 8-minute trips between Manhattan and JFK/Newark airports, aiming to reduce, an hour-long car trip, with prices ranging from $200–$250 per seat, including ground transport to the helipad.
The long-term goal is to introduce quiet, zero-emissions electric “air taxis” in collaboration with Joby Aviation.
