Allez les bleus (and les blues) - that’s both my teams covered.
I went to the Toulouse vs Leicester game last weekend. If Leicester are an example of a decent English team then it bodes ill for England. They were outplayed completely by Toulouse. The French captain, du Pont, was fantastic. The Italian winger playing for Toulouse looked young and slight - but played brilliantly, scoring two tries. Toulouse won a point for every minute of the match. On vera.

Cynical time
Going well in France.
Only losing 28-0 at half time and France didn’t score for the first 18 minutes.
These days that is success for Wales.
Ken Owens and the Younger Johnathan Davies talking sense on S4C at HT.
Can Wales score in the second half?

Hard to be a Welsh rugby fan these days!
….
Oh well…0-48.
But it’s not exactly an unexpected result.

Soggy afternoon in Rome and another passionless first half from Wales who remain totally devoid of ideas.
It is 16-3 to Italy and I just don’t see any way Wales can come back.
At least the U20 side managed a win!
…
Well,we got a bonus point!
Italy should have kicked that last penalty to deny us that.
Triple Crown is still on :grinning:

Warren Gatland is set to leave his position as Wales head coach with immediate effect.

The WRU board decided to grant Gatland a stay of execution at the end of 2024, a year in which Wales failed to win a single Test match. He was challenged to turn around Wales’ ailing fortunes in the Six Nations before another review at the end of the Championship.

But Wales have made a disastrous start to their Six Nations with defeats against France and Italy, respectively. Gatland is contracted until the 2027 Rugby World Cup but there is a break clause in his contract this summer.
The WRU have now decided to put the Wales boss on gardening leave and he is set to be removed as head coach, with official confirmation expected today. The WRU have already began searching for his long-term replacement with Franco Smith, Simon Easterby and Michael Cheika among the contenders.
Eddie Jones has been seen at a Welsh training session!

Isn’t rugby played with funny shaped balls?and talk about group hugs

I can barely talk about the England-Scotland game. My only small comfort after that last minute missed conversion is being in France. Our village had a fete evening, starting just after the game finished. I got a lot of sympathy from the locals. Still hurts though.
